Jonathan and Nicole are somewhat different from the usual couples that I have photographed, and I would dare say, a little special.
For one, they are probably the youngest couple that I had shot for a wedding – the people that I am photographing are getting younger everyday! To me, to be able to find a lifetime partner at their age speaks volume of their commitment for each other.
They are also explorers and adventurers, and we talked about going on hikes in New Zealand, and how they discovered foreign lands with each other by their side.
They only had one wish for their wedding day, and that is to allow their closest friends and kin to soak in the celebrations and have a truly memorable day. And what better way than to have it at Little Island Brewing Co, where their friends and family could celebrate with endless craft beer from tap? It was my first time photographing at this chic venue, and what endears me most is the spaciousness and the simplicity of the place, which is just perfect for them to move about freely and have a merry time with their close ones.
We had a short session after the wedding day, just right around the Changi area, an idyllic neighborhood which seems to fit these two beautiful souls perfectly. I remember them being really calm when we were documenting their time together. She was especially radiant, and at the back of my mind I couldn’t help thinking there’s a positive energy inside her fueling her emotions, and Jon was there to support her whenever she needed it.
I am really excited to be part of this beautiful chapter in their story, and I can’t wait to watch their little family to grow.
