It is not often that I get to meet couples like Cedric and Lap Kuan. From the start, I had a really good vibe after meeting them. They were earnest and appreciate honesty, and that was strongly reflected in the way they conveyed their vision of their wedding day to me. We shared common ground, not only in what they love about photographs, but also our outlook in life.
We talked about their youth, the hardship they faced with a long-distance relationship, as well as the blessings and challenges they faced while they were dating. Most importantly, they placed their utmost trust in me to tell the story of their day.
And there is nothing more meaningful to me as a wedding photographer than to help couples realize their vision of their big day.
If we are not storytellers, then what are we?
