I started photographing weddings in Singapore seven (!!) years ago, armed with a dinosaur of a DSLR (at least in today’s standards), believing I could conquer the world with my photos. The landscape of wedding photography has changed over the years, with more wedding couples focusing on capturing the wedding day as it should be and making it as fluid as possible, rather than having routine-like itineraries for the day. Thankfully, what inspired me to photograph weddings has kept me going these years – the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the colorful characters if only for a day, and to remain largely invisible while observing the on-goings at play. It’s fascinating, to say the least, to enter this intimate space and be a part of it, and it’s a role which I believe cannot be found anywhere else.
I am ever grateful to Adeline and Baowen for inviting me into their world, to be a guest to see what unfolds on this very special day. Thank you both 🙂
